Monthly food distribution

One of our main projects at Komak Rassan is Food Aid to needy families in Afghanistan. Our main mission is to relieve poverty and hunger in Afghanistan by distributing monthly food supplies to families who are unable to sustain themselves on their own. Our goal is to ease their hardship and improve their quality of life.
Please watch the video report our team in Kabul prepared to show the living condition and the extra hardship that these families face every winter. The families in the video are just few from a long list of families on our list that we want to help with your support.

Winter Aid

We were able to complete our first round of family assessment for winter need. The assessment of additional families on our list will continue through the winter. Our list consists of families who are extremely poor. Most of these families are displaced refugees from other cities, widows, orphans, elderly, and disable. We will distribute a full month supply of Food packages to them this month through our monthly food distribution project. Through the Winter Aid project we are hoping to take care of their winter needs.

Please help us keep these families warm this winter.

Survey of flooding damage in Logar

Komak Rassan assessment team surveyed Pol-e-Alam and Mohammad Agha districts in Logar province on September 16, 2020.
Both districts are among 5 districts in Logar that are severely impacted by the flood on August 26. Close to 300 families are affected by the flood across all the districts in Logar.
Our team surveyed the area, met with families whose homes, properties, lands and crops were completely destroyed by the flood. As you will see in these videos and pictures the situation is pretty bad. The devastation caused by the flood is beyond tragic. Families are in need of immediate humanitarian assistance but because of the safety and security issues in these areas, people haven’t received much help especially in districts further away from the city of Logar.
Our team prepared a list of families who are extremely poor and whose homes are completely or partially destroyed by the flood. We will be delivering food and other essential items to them soon. Thanks to all our supporters and donors who made this effort possible. Although our team may not able to deliver help to everyone affected by the flood but we hope that the report they prepared bring more awareness to the conditions of flood victims in Logar and leads to additional help to more families in that region.
